Suspend the plates of plate heat exchanger

During the installation, maintenance or disassembly of plate heat exchangers, the suspension of plates usually refers to the operation of temporarily fixing or hoisting a single plate of the heat exchanger. The purpose is to ensure operational safety and prevent the plates from deforming or being damaged. The following are the key points and precautions of the relevant operations:

I. Application Scenarios of Suspended Plates

Installation stage: Suspend the individual plates in sequence into the heat exchanger frame.

Maintenance and cleaning: After disassembling the plates, hang them for storage for easy cleaning or inspection.

When replacing damaged plates, the surrounding plates need to be temporarily fixed.

Ii. Operating Steps

1.Prepare tools:

Special lifting tools (such as suction cups, hooks).

Support frame or storage rack (used for temporarily fixing plates).

Protective gloves and safety equipment.

2.Hanging process:

When disassembling:

Loosen the clamping bolts and separate the plates one by one.

Use suction cups or hooks to adhere to the edge of the plate and lift it slowly.

Hang the plates vertically on the bracket, avoiding stacking or tilting.

During installation:

Suspend the plates in the designed sequence (such as the corrugation direction and the position of the sealing gasket).

Make sure the plates are aligned to avoid misalignment that may cause leakage.

3.Fixed requirements:

When the weight of a single plate is relatively large, it is necessary to apply force evenly at multiple points to prevent deformation.

Use non-metallic tools to contact the surface of the plate to avoid scratches.

Iii. Precautions

1. Prevent deformation

Unilateral force application or prolonged suspension on one side is strictly prohibited, as it may cause wavy deformation of the plates.

When storing, gaps should be left between the plates to avoid squeezing.

2.Cleaning and protection

Before hanging, remove the dirt on the surface of the plates to prevent scratches.

Avoid contact with corrosive media, especially special materials such as titanium.

3.Safe operation

When multiple people collaborate, give unified instructions to prevent the boards from slipping off.

Check the load-bearing capacity of the hoisting tools and strictly prohibit overloading.
