The core functions and maintenance points of industrial lubricating oil storage tanks are mainly as follows

 

1. Core Functions

Oil storage and supply

Maintain a constant oil volume to ensure continuous oil supply to the lubrication system

It is equipped with high and low liquid level sensors (with an accuracy of ±5%) to prevent oil cut-off or overflow

Temperature control

It is equipped with an internal coil cooler (or electric heater) to maintain the oil temperature within the optimal range of 40-65

An alarm will be triggered when the oil temperature fluctuation exceeds ±10%

Impurity separation

Three-stage filtration system (coarse filtration 100μm→ Fine filtration 25μm→ magnetic adsorption)

The cleanliness of the oil meets the ISO 4406 18/16/13 standard

Oil stability

The nitrogen sealing layer prevents oxidation (oxygen content < 0.5%)

The breathing valve is equipped with a desiccant to control the humidity to be less than 30%RH

2. Key Points for Maintenance

Daily maintenance (weekly)

Check for dirt in the oil sight glass (clean when transparency drops by 30%)

Remove iron filings from magnetic filter (replace when sediment > 5g/cm²)

Monitor oil level fluctuation (abnormal fluctuation indicates system leakage)

Regular maintenance (quarterly/annual)

🔧 Quarterly Highlights

Oil testing: If the acid value is greater than 1.5mgKOH/g or the water content is greater than 0.03%, the oil needs to be changed

Clean the breathing valve filter element (replace it when the pressure difference is greater than 0.5bar)

Calibrate the temperature sensor immediately if the error is greater than ±2℃.

🔧 Annual overhaul

Ultrasonic cleaning of the inner wall of the oil tank (deep cleaning triggered when the thickness of residual oil sludge is greater than 0.3mm)

Replace the sealing ring (force replacement if the hardness drop is greater than 15 Shore A or the deformation is greater than 2mm)

Pressure test: Maintain pressure at 1.5 times the working pressure for 30 minutes without leakage
