The process of PHE's flat plate opening and transverse shear

The process of plate heat exchanger is the core of plate manufacturing, which directly determines the accuracy of plate forming and the performance of heat exchanger. This article from the process, equipment selection, quality control and technical difficulties to carry out a detailed analysis:

 

A. Opening process detailed explanation:

1.Process flow:

Coil preparation → Uncoiler feeding → multi-roll leveling → fixed length cutting → palletizing output.

 

Coil pretreatment: stainless steel, titanium alloy and other plates need to be cleaned in advance (such as pickling passivation) to eliminate oxidation layer and oil.

Leveling principle: Through 7~11 groups of staggered leveling rollers (roll diameter Φ50~120mm) repeatedly bend the coil to eliminate the internal residual stress, so that the flatness of the sheet is less than 0.3mm/m.

Tension control: The servo motor is used to dynamically adjust the uncoiling tension (5~20kN) to avoid the tensile deformation of the plate.

2.Key equipment parameter

 

Leveling machine type: precision CNC leveling line, applicable plate thickness 0.3~6mm, processing width ≤2500mm.

Leveling accuracy: After leveling the surface roughness of the plate Ra≤1.6μm, thickness tolerance ±0.02mm.

Shear mode: hydraulic shearing machine or flying shear, shear speed of 10~30m/min, incision perpendicularity ≤0.05mm.

3.Common problems and countermeasures

 

Warping/wavy: Adjust the pressure distribution of the levelling roller and reduce the gap between the inlet and outlet rollers (plate thickness ×0.8~1.2 times).

Surface scratches: Replace the nylon or polyurethane flattening roller, and choose non-silicone oil lubricant formula.

Length error: closed-loop control by laser rangefinder, dynamic compensation for shearing position deviation.

 

B. Transverse shear process detailed

1.Process flow:

Plate positioning → Laser/die cutting → corner punching → edge deburring → quality inspection sorting.

 

Angle hole machining: using multi-station progressive die (step accuracy ±0.01mm) or laser cutting (power ≥3kW), aperture tolerance ±0.05mm.

Edge treatment: The deburring machine adopts nylon brush or sand belt polishing, chamfering radius ≤0.1mm, to avoid stress concentration during stamping.

 

2.Technical difficulties and solutions:

 

Microcrack control (titanium/stainless steel) :

The shear gap is set to the plate thickness ×5%~8% (such as the 0.5mm plate thickness gap 0.025~0.04mm).

Nitrogen is used in laser cutting to prevent the formation of oxide layer.

Optimization of plate utilization:

Using CAD/CAM software layout, the nesting algorithm can increase material utilization to more than 92%.

Scrap is recycled for blanking small plates or sealing gaskets.
