The punching process of plate heat exchanger is a key link in the manufacture of plate heat exchanger. The following is the detailed process:

1. Prepare raw materials

First of all, we must choose the appropriate metal sheet as raw materials, common stainless steel, titanium alloy, etc., these materials need to have good corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and a certain strength. The thickness, material and other parameters of the plate should strictly meet the design requirements. There are also strict requirements for the surface quality of the plate, and no obvious scratches, cracks, rust and other defects are allowed to ensure the quality of punching.

2. Mold design and manufacturing

According to the design requirements of plate heat exchanger, a special punching die is made. The mold is generally composed of an upper die and a lower die. The upper die has a punch, and the lower die has a concave die matched with the punch. The shape and size of the punch should be precisely consistent with the shape and size of the punch required on the plate, and the accuracy of the die directly affects the quality and dimensional accuracy of the punch.

3. Plate positioning and clamping

Place the prepared metal sheet on the punching table, and accurately determine the position of the sheet through the positioning device to ensure that the punching position is accurate. Then use the clamping equipment, such as fixtures, clamping plates, etc., to firmly fix the plate on the workbench to prevent the plate from displacing during the punching process, affecting the punching accuracy.

4. Punching operation

Punch adjustment: According to the material, thickness and punching requirements of the plate, adjust the punching parameters of the punch, such as punching speed, punching pressure, etc. The impact pressure should be large enough to ensure that the punch can successfully penetrate the plate, but not too large, so as not to cause deformation of the plate or damage the mold.

Punching: Start the punching press, the upper die goes down with the slider, the punch quickly impacts the plate under the action of punching pressure, and the part of the material corresponding to the position of the concave die on the plate is punched off to form a hole. For a large number of holes on the plate of the plate heat exchanger, continuous stamping is usually used, and holes are punched successively according to the pre-designed hole layout.

5. Waste disposal and cleaning

The waste generated during the punching process will fall from the material leakage hole of the die, and it is necessary to clean the waste in time to prevent the accumulation of waste from affecting the subsequent punching operation or damaging the die. At the same time, after the punching is completed, the surface of the plate should be cleaned to remove impurities such as iron filings and burrs generated during the punching process.

6. Quality inspection

After the completion of punching, the punching quality of the plate should be comprehensively tested. The test contents include dimensional accuracy indicators such as aperture, hole spacing, hole perpendicularity, and surface quality of hole wall, such as whether there are cracks, tears and other defects. For plates that do not meet the quality requirements, they need to be repaired or scrapped.
