[World Earth Day] Publicity of Competitive Evaluation Results of Winter Clean Heating Project in Northern Region in 2021

On April 21, the Ministry of Finance and other four departments jointly issued the "2021 Northern Winter Clean Heating Project Competitive Evaluation Results Announcement", which intends to identify 20 projects as the winter clean heating projects in the northern region supported by air pollution prevention and control funds in 2021.

Among them, there are 3 in Shandong, 3 in Shanxi, 2 in Hebei, 2 in Shaanxi, Beijing and Henan, Liaoning, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Jilin, Gansu and Ningxia. In addition to the 43 cities that have been included in the central financial winter clean heating pilot in 2017-2019, the total number of cities supported has reached 63.

The central government will give fixed rewards for clean heating renovation to cities included in the scope of support for 3 consecutive years. The annual compensation standard is 0.7 billion yuan for provincial capital cities and 0.3 billion yuan for general prefecture-level cities. Support for the transformation includes: "coal to gas", "coal to electricity", as well as geothermal energy, biomass energy, solar energy, industrial waste heat, clean coal-fired central heating (to meet ultra-low emission standards) and other ways of clean heating transformation.

Under the guidance of the national "coal to electricity" policy, Shandong Beichen independently developed high/low voltage electrode boilers, which are suitable for electricity, and carried out clean energy heating projects in places where central heating is difficult to reach. The company's clean energy heating projects have been carried out in Xinjiang, Hebei and other places, with remote and extremely cold weather. However, so far, all clean energy heating renovation projects undertaken by Shandong Beichen are running well.
