1. Overview
The structural characteristics of the fixed tube sheet heat exchanger are that a tube bundle is arranged in the shell, and the tubes are fixed to the tube sheet by welding or expansion at both ends of the tube bundle. The tube sheets at both ends are directly welded to the shell, the inlet and outlet pipes of the shell are directly welded to the shell, the outer circumference of the tube sheet and the head flange are fastened with bolts, and the inlet and outlet pipes of the tube pass are directly welded to the head. Several baffles are set in the tube bundle according to the length of the heat exchange tube. The tube pass of this heat exchanger can be divided into any number of passes by partitions.

3. The advantages of the fixed tube sheet heat exchanger
3.1. Small bypass seepage;
3.2. Fewer forgings are used and the cost is low;
3.3. No internal leakage;
3.4. The heat transfer area is 20% to 30% larger than that of the floating head heat exchanger.
4. The disadvantages of fixed tube sheet heat exchangers
4.1. The temperature difference between the shell and the tube wall is large. When t≥50℃, an expansion joint must be installed on the shell;
4.2 It is easy to generate temperature difference force, and the tube sheet and the tube head are prone to temperature difference stress and damage;
4.3. The shell side cannot be mechanically cleaned;
4.4. After the tube corrodes, it is scrapped together with the shell, and the equipment life is short.
