The pressurizer relief tank is a key safety device in the primary loop system of a nuclear power plant, with the following main purposes and characteristics:

Purpose:

• Pressure Protection: When the pressure in the reactor coolant system (primary loop) exceeds a set safety limit, the pressurizer relief tank can quickly release excess pressure, preventing system overpressure and ensuring the safe operation of the nuclear power plant.

• Receiving Steam and Water: In emergency situations, it receives steam, non-condensable gases, and water discharged from the pressurizer to stabilize the system's pressure.
